U {officially} Amaze Me!

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday, Everyone!!

Today I'm sharing a layout with all of you. I'm am trying hard to get "caught up" on my layouts and getting those photos scrapped! However, getting "caught up" will never happen since we always continue to take more and more photos!! Anyway... my sister took my boys ice skating last year, well I thought it was last year and now that I'm typing this it was at the beginning of THIS year!! So glad I can go and change the year! Whoops!!

Here's the layout

So, as I was uploading the photos for this post, I was looking at the layout thinking "it's missing something", so once I figured out what was missing, I headed back down and revised the layout (and still didn't notice the wrong date!). Below you will see the revised layout and just how much the little things I added make a big difference in how the layout flows together so much better. It just felt like the above layout hit a dead end, but with the below layout, it's complete.

I added the arrows at the bottom next to the tag and up above the title spot. I really think those few arrows add so much to the whole layout. It's breaks up some of the paint at the bottom and it also brings your eyes toward the middle, some.

So, I used a lot of things from my stash on this layout. I am trying VERY hard to use what I have had for MANY years!! The cork letters "ME", I am unsure of the company/brand of these. I have 2 huge 12x12 boxes full of letters; chipboard, stickers, 3D letters, etc. Many years ago, I wasn't the huge on saving the company like I am now. The envelope pocket is another - I received this in a little RAK bag and I am not sure what company this is. I also found some very OLD vellum, which I used underneath (you can faintly see it). I have to say it feels GREAT to use up some very OLD goodies. It just makes room for some new stuff! He he!

For the rest of the layout I used:

Paper: Crate Paper, Basic Grey, Recollections
XYZ stickers
Basic Grey Die-cuts and flag
Studio 112 - enamel words
Heidi Grace - faux stitching rub-ons

Well, that's all for today. I hope you were inspired by my layout today. I hope you all have a fabulous Wednesday!!

  1. Nice layout...I like the scribble background. I must say I looked and looked and was almost sure you were playing a joke and then I saw the arrows. You are right the corners looked empty and now draws your eyes towards the picture. Great job!
